Astrology

Since ancient times, people watched stars wander the night sky, weaving human traits into their distant light. In many, many ways, by understanding astrology, we understand primarily our culture, and through it – ourselves.
Why might I be interested in this?
Astrology is one of those superstitions that’s probably the most well-known and accepted of all. Be it as a starter of a conversation, spiritual debate or a psychotherapy substitute, astrology is an ongoing, cyclical and ever changing topic. Its meaning and focus fluctuates depending on who’re we with, cultures we’re raised in and approaches we take. It can be individual or collective – everyone can join into it.
In other words, even if you exclude the divinatory aspect, the pseudoscience behind it, you still have an interesting always-relevant topic at your disposal. Finding out more about astrology is a way to enrich your life.
But astrology might be bad for the society
Blind faith is always bad, and astrology is a system that exploits gullible people. Why learn anything about it?
Well, at its core, astrology uses planets – and all the associations related to it – to create a divinatory narrative about someone or some topic. These associations are not random, instead, they are a reflection of an individual needs and societal environment they’re being interpreted through.
These associations are what’s important, not the planets themselves. Economy, love, war, dreams, and many other aspects of our everyday lives are represented by the planets. Each culture, each society, each individual has a specific viewpoint on these. Discussing their impact is what’s important; not the planets themselves.
In this blog we will..
In this blog we’ll focus less on will the planets impact or will they not impact your life. Instead, astrology will be examined for its meaning and what we can learn from it. Astrology is much more present in our mundane life than you might notice, and it can also be insightful for spiritual development or personal development.
