Daily God or Goddess

The Gods and Goddesses of humanity
Daily God/Goddess topic wants to show how humans are similar regardless of time and place. It’s supposed to be fun, informative and keep us aware about the spiritual topics even in the most mundane aspects of our lives. Daily posts will provide short introduction to the stories about a given god or goddess, where you might have seen them, and where to find out more about them.
The daily god or goddess will be selected mostly at random, but in accordance to the day of the week. Days of the week own their names to the planets which were seen as gods in ancient times.
- Monday – Moon (Luna)
- Tuesday – Mars (named after the god of war Tiw in Germanic mythology)
- Wednesday – Mercury (named after the messenger god, also Odin/Woden in Norse/Germanic mythology)
- Thursday – Jupiter (named after the king of gods, also Thor in Norse mythology)
- Friday – Venus (named after the goddess of love and beauty, also Frigg in Norse mythology)
- Saturday – Saturn (named after the god of time and agriculture)
- Sunday – Sun (Sol, Helios in Greek mythology)
Of course, not all planets or gods are associated so we will expand on this as needed.
These associations will not be just at random, most of the times, but we’ll try to find something approachable and common to find a connection. In the end, all of these Gods and Goddesses were a part of human’s psyche – it’s only natural that we can connect with them.
